BuzzFeed just posted an article about adults who’ve gone back and re-read books that impacted their childhood. Aurora and I did something similar with Jumpstart January, but it’s always really interesting to see how other readers interpret books when they re-read them.
I’ll be honest that I’ve read very little of the books posted in this article, which I feel terrible about. I guess I was just too enthralled with the books I’d been reading, to expand my library. I particularly liked the commentary on Matilda (Roald Dahl), because while I think I knew that Ms. Honey was 23 in the book, I didn’t recognize it. Let that sink in. Ms. Honey adopted Matilda when she was 23… I’m 28 and can barely take care of myself, let alone another person.
